Repairs & Custom Knitting/Crocheting

Our repair services are currently unavailable indefinitely. Our repair person is not able to accept projects due to a terminal illness in their immediate family. We are not able to keep a wait list. Thank you for understanding.

Please note that due to the extremely high volume of repair inquiries we receive, we are only able to accept a limited number of projects at any given time.

We are pleased to offer custom knitting and crocheting, finishing and repair services for your knitted and crocheted pieces. If you have a beloved sweater or heirloom, commercially knit or hand-knit, we can help you! Bring in your (clean, moth-free) piece(s) in for a consultation. If you are not local to us or unable to stop by the shop, you can shoot us an email at info@circleofstitches.com with photos of your inquiry.

Here are some of the things we can do:

  • Repair a damaged knit or crocheted piece, ranging from garments to heirloom afghans

  • Finish a project you started. We can do the actual knitting, or do assembling and finishing

  • Knit or crochet a custom piece for you

Terms and Conditions: Finishing and repairs are billed at a rate of $22 per hour, with a minimum of one hour per project. Material costs are in addition to labor costs. We require one hour of payment upfront, and the remainder of the balance is due upon completion of the project. After 30 days, unpaid invoices will accrue late fees at a rate of 2% for every 30 day period. By commissioning us to repair your piece and paying your deposit, you are agreeing to these terms.

We will work with you to determine the extend of the work and come up with a strategy you are happy with. For example, for damaged heirlooms, we can do minimal repairs, stabilizing damaged areas, or go as far as completely removing and reconstructing the damaged areas.
