Ever wanted to design your own pattern? Maybe there is a stitch pattern on your favorite hat pattern that you want to add to a cowl to make a set. Well, we will be designing a cowl (bring a stitch pattern you like or one will be provided). In this class, we will explore the basics of designing, from sketching and swatching, to measuring gauge and figuring out all the math. I promise the math won’t be scary!

Skill Level: For confident knitters. No design experience required.

Tools: Worsted Weight Yarn, US Size 8 (5mm) needles (same used for homework), calculator, measuring tape

Homework: Make a gauge swatch using yarn and needles you plan to use for your cowl
